Christmas is with us again!

Santa is happy as signified through his famous laughter “ho, ho, ho.”

Parents are moving from one corner of the city to another to buy gifts for their loved ones in honour of the Christmas spirit of loving, caring and giving. You might be reading this piece either on a vacation or en route to your village or on a visit to a family member or friend. Well, Christmas spirit is all about caring and giving and it is in this spirit that the school through its annual Corporate Social Responsibility teamed up with the parents and pupils in support of the less fortunate in our society.

The two weeks’ period saw students donate arrays of foodstuffs, clothing, money and many more; items that were distributed among six selected deserving Homes in Nairobi County. The first batch was taken to Goodsherphards Children Home at Chokaa with the second one taken to Cerebral Palsy Society of Kenya. The third batch was taken to Good Samaritan Home in Soweto with the fourth donation being taken to Missionary Brothers at Kibra. The fifth consignment was delivered to Mama Precious Children Home. The last dispatch was delivered at Carmel Daycare Centre in Soweto slums. With a team of students accompanying the staff, the six Centres were a beehive of activities with our students managing to extend joy and happiness to their counterparts with strict adherence to MOH Guidelines.

The six Homes were appreciative of the school’s gesture in taking care of the less fortunate in the society and called upon the general public to support them in touching lives in the community.  The Centres are open to the public for those willing to share the Christmas spirit with them.

You can reach GOODSHERPHARDS HOME by visiting them physically in Chokaa area or by sending your donations through their Paybill number 509289, account name GSH. You can also visit the Cerebral Palsy Society of Kenya and the other Homes to provide your support.

We take this opportunity to thank all our partners, parents, teachers and students for making the drive a success. You managed to put a smile on a deserving face. You managed to put love in action. It is indeed true that every time we love, every time we give, it’s Christmas!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
