St. Jude catholic primary school, Donholm is a catholic educational institution owned by the Archdiocese of Nairobi. Just like other educational Archdiocesan institutions, it is an instrument of evangelization fulfilling one of the Cardinal objectives of the Catholic Church that is furtherance of education. Education of the young ones is a key component in the formation of responsible society and citizenship. Fr Luigi Giussani says that “the fundamental idea in the education of the young is the fact that it is through the younger generations that society successively rebuilds itself; therefore the primary concern of society is to teach the young”. St. Jude Catholic primary school, Doonholm upholds this divine responsibility .
The institution gives equal opportunities to pupils in holistic formation. We understand that children are bundles of potentiality and our key responsibility is to facilitate the actualization of their potencies. We have dedicated staff committed to this objective by imparting knowledge, character and spiritual formation and instilling discipline by example and quality service delivery.
The school provides a conducive environment for learners to unfold their inherent gifts and acquisition of knowledge and skills. It is a cradle for awakening the gifts and talents of our children progressively becoming the saints that God created them to be. The structures are of high standard and children friendly. The management of the institution is under the Apostolic Carmel sisters who have charism and wide experience in the education of the young people. Their management is child focused and the impact of this approach is manifested in the maturity, discipline and success of the alumni of their schools.
We continue to seek the guidance of our divine master and model our lives in the image of him who is the teacher per excellence. It is only in this manner that we will continue to remain faithful to our mission. We entrust our pupils, staff, management, parents and guardians , Board of management and all our stakeholders to the divine protection.
God bless you all.
